A Run in honour of Lauren and the CLSC Lac Saint Louis Palliative Care Foundation

28 Aug

Stephen and I have both been training for the past few months for an upcoming October marathon in Picton, Ontario.  This race will be Stephen’s first Full Marathon, and my first Half Marathon (I’ve never run more than 11K, I’m terrified ha ha)

We wanted to take this opportunity to honour a foundation that has been incredibly helpful to our family since Lauren has fallen ill – The CLSC Lac St Louis Foundation. Lauren is followed by the CLSC’s Palliative care team, and they have been amazing in helping us to care for Lauren and helping to fund some of Lauren’s equipment. They do an amazing job helping families in our area who are coping with really awful circumstances.

Our Goal is $2,500!

You can read more about the foundation by clicking here

Funds that we collect through this fundraiser will go to helping our family as well as others in our area who are facing similar difficulties.

Donations are eligible for canadian tax receipts ($10 min) and will go straight to the foundation.

You can donate online using the button below, or if you prefer you can send us a cheque written to “CLSC Lac-Saint-Louis & Pierrefonds foundation

In the memo please write “Palliative Care

Cheques can be mailed to –

Lauren Loughheed
267 Connemara Cr
Beaconsfield, Qc

By Donating through our page we can track our campaign progress and provide ongoing updates as we get closer to our date.

If you prefer to donate directly to the CLSC Lac Saint Louis foundation through their website, please make sure to note in the instructions that the donation is for Palliative Care, and is in Honour of our daughter “Lauren Loughheed”

Thanking you for your generosity and continued support!

That will be quite a run. At least by Oct, it will have cooled down! Both of you have pushed yourself to the max throughout Lauren’s trials. This running that she is now responsible for will at least be a venue to release your anxiety while at the same time getting funds to add to her comfort.. You will return to her with even more energy after getting all the extra oxygen..Thank God both of you are positive people and keep going forward doing whatever can be done to help Lauren and others. Good luck in the run for beautiful, beautiful Lauren!! Love Ann and Great Aunt Nellie xox
